Michelin Cuisine under Santa Marija’s Dazzling Skies
The most awaited annual event is back. Join us for an unforgettable evening on our exclusive terrace; offering panoramic views of the island, the perfect spot to enjoy the exuberant firework display of the Santa Marija feast from six different localities. This experience is like no other, orchestrated by a luxury harmony in cuisine, comfort and service; we promise that this evening will be one to remember.
Fresh, local and seasonal Maltese produce is at the heart of the culinary philosophy of the De Mondion. Our esteemed Chef de Cuisine, Kevin Bonello, has combined this with his love and inspiration from his own mother’s home cooking to create a perfect balance of flavours and textures, presented in a six course set menu only served on our national holiday of Santa Marija. The menu starts off with a Local Beef “Tartare”, complimented by Truffle Mayo, Tomato and Fennel. Followed by Aged Pecorino Gnocchi, composed of Cuttlefish Carbonara, Pistachio and Preserved Lemon, an entrée that is sure to tantalize the senses. Skate Wing will then be served, accompanied by Eggplant Parmigiana, Parsley and Capers, which is succeeded by the Beef Rib Steak. To finish off the evening, locally sourced Santa Rosa Plums will be prepared in accordance with a Lemon Verbena, Pine nuts and Brown Butter as well as Coffee and Petits Fours.
The remarkable event will be held on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th August at the De Mondion Restaurant from 19:30hrs onwards.
